Hi, I’m Xingtai Huang. I’m now pursuing my M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell Tech, and I earned my B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University after transferring from Guangzhou University in China. I’m dedicated to expanding my technical expertise while contributing to meaningful projects.

Campus Activity | 校園生活
At Cornell Tech:
I’ve received a Merit Scholarship and serve as an Admissions Ambassador. And I‘m engaged in Product Studio, including the Physical Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, where our team designed and 3D-printed Flexi Hanger—a portable accessory hanger with a foldable hook and sliding disks with ropes to hold belts or scarves securely. Outside coursework, I also enjoy joining classmates in campus activities and exploring New York City together.
At Syracuse Univ:
I’ve received the Annual Dean’s Scholarship and was consistently recognized on the Dean’s List as a Superior Scholarship recipient. I also served as a member of the Publicity Department of the Syracuse University Chinese Student Scholar Association (SUCSSA), where I designed posters, social media content, and merchandise such as folders and cloth bags. In addition, I actively participated in the university’s E-Sports club and competed in several League of Legends tournaments.
At GZHU Univ,
I‘ve participated in ACM and programming contests, the Sci & Tech Cup, and debate competitions, which gave me chances to practice teamwork and problem-solving from different perspectives. As a member of the GDEA Electronics Association, I joined activities such as the LED light-tower soldering competition and other events like bingo nights, which made the experience fun. Outside academics, I played drums in the Guangzhou University Music Team, which is one of my favorite part among campus activities.

Be Real, No Regrets, Forever Young.
Why do people study, drift with the crowd, and do what are taught right? What is true? Mr. Mei answered this question in the film: “What you see, what you hear, what you do, who you are with, are real. Coming with a kind of peace and joy that overflows from the depths of the heart without remorse or shame.”
只問真實，無問西東
為什麽人要讀書，隨波逐流地做著「看起來正確的事」？什麽是真實的？電影裏梅貽琦的回答是，你看到什麽，聽到什麽，做什麽，和誰在一起，有一種從心靈深處滿溢出來的不懊悔也不羞恥的平和與喜悅。
I do not have the blood that Chen Ziqiang dedicated to the country, nor the earthly sobriety that Lu Xun had in abandoning medicine for literature. I study engineering because all people with good grades study engineering, I take the first place because people around me are excellent, which makes me very motivated to integrate into the group. I study engineering because I can earn my own living on that. I burying myself in busy work day and night, feeling at peace, but not inner peace. I actually don’t like studying deep inside.
我沒有陳自強獻給祖國的一腔熱血，也沒有魯迅棄醫從文的人間清醒。我讀工科是因為成績好的人都讀工科，我考第一是因為身邊的朋友都很非常優秀，讓我十分有動力融入其中。我學電氣是因為硬實力。從早到晚，把自己交給繁忙，得到的是踏實，卻不是真實。
I think my answers to “real” and “life” is “pull my weight when I’m lost, care for others when I am frustrated, go on trips with acquaintances, eat hotpots with loved one, and get satisfaction, pride, and non-regret from the bottom of my heart when the end of life unexpectedly closes.”
我想，我對「真實」和「人生」的回答是，迷茫時也要做好分內的事，失意時不忘用心關照他人，和熟絡的朋友一起出遊、吃海底撈，當人生的結局突然收卷時，有一種打從心底裏的滿意，驕傲，和無憾。
