Attitudes Towards Life | 生活态度
Be Real, No Regrets, Forever Young.
Why do people study, drift with the crowd, and do what are taught right? What is true? Mr. Mei answered this question in the film: “What you see, what you hear, what you do, who you are with, are real. Coming with a kind of peace and joy that overflows from the depths of the heart without remorse or shame.”
I do not have the blood that Chen Ziqiang dedicated to the country, nor the earthly sobriety that Lu Xun had in abandoning medicine for literature. I study engineering because all people with good grades study engineering, I take the first place because people around me take the first place, and I study science because scientists can make more money. I was required to work 5 times harder than kids born with silver spoons, to improve myself, and to be competitive for money which can ease family burdens. I burying myself in busy work day and night, feeling at peace, but not inner peace. I actually don’t like studying deep inside.
I think my answers to “real” and “life” is “pull my weight when I’m lost, care for others when I am frustrated, go on trips with acquaintances, eat hotpots with loved one, and get satisfaction, pride, and non-regret from the bottom of my heart when the end of life unexpectedly closes.”
